Increased cancer risk for women who eat bread and potatoes

A joint Swedish and American study has shown that women who eat root vegetables and bread often are nearly 30% more likely to develop breast cancer. This is because these foods retain high levels of the toxic metal cadmium from agricultural fertilisers.
